Below is a description of the recruited athlete requirements for the Rifle program at the United States Military Academy (West Point).

• Good/Excellent academic standing in high school (high GPA and SAT/ACT test scores).
• High-level of physical fitness (must be able to pass a physical aptitude exam).
• Must be medically qualified (no history of asthma after 12 years old, vision correctable to 20/20, ect..)
• High-level of competitive experience in Smallbore Rifle three-position shooting (scores need to be 1120 and higher on an indoor full-course or 1100 and higher on the outdoor full-course.
• High-level of competitive experience in Precision Air Rifle or three-position Air Rifle shooting (scores need to be 375 and higher in precision Air Rifle or 570 and higher in three-position Air Rifle).
