Jo Evans returns for her 7th season as the head coach of the tradition-rich Texas A&M softball program. "Our goal is to become a national contender," Evans said. "We have made great strides in rebuilding our program, but we are not content with our improvement and we will continue our relentless pursuit of this goal." Evans, who was named to the Utah Softball Hall of Fame in the summer of 1999, played for the University of Utah from 1979-82 and was a four-year starter. In her final season, Evans was named to the all-conference first team and captained the Utes to a 41-6 record and a College World Series appearance. She graduated from Utah in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in commercial recreation.
