High school baseball players must realize that college scholarships are hard to come by. Most colleges have a limited amount of scholarship money available for baseball, and baseball programs generally have a limited recruiting budget. For these reasons, it isn't something that the high school coach can be expected to do on his own.

Parents must become partners with the high school coach by becoming the agents for their sons who are seeking scholarships. Parents can help to give their sons exposure through high school baseball, select baseball, and baseball showcases. Another avenue for getting recognition for their sons is through individual ads in magazines such as Texas High School Baseball Magazine which is seen by college coaches.

Take a pro-active approach in helping your son. It will increase his chances for getting a college baseball scholarship.
