A: Narrow their colleges choices down to five and apply early for admission, financial aid and scholarship assistance at each of their five choices.

B: Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1 in order to see what federal and state aid that they may be eligible to receive.

C: Take the ACT or SAT test earlier and if the results are not satisfactory to the student's standards then re-take the test again. Colleges and Universities will take the best scores from all of the test that the student takes to derive their best scores.

D: Register with the NCAA clearinghouse as soon as possible if they desire to play collegiate sports. If a video tape is available of their athletic skills submit it to their five collegiate schools for athletic consideration.

E: Remember that you are a student first and athlete second so athletes must stress academics first over athletic accomplishments as they will need their degree in today's business environment.
