David has narrowed his collegiate search from 15 programs to 8. He has already registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse and submitted all questionnaires required and the testing agency has sent his “official” test scores to the NCAA Clearinghouse. Since Division I and II programs usually offer a “paid” visit, David will need to carefully look at all his options since he is only entitled to a total of 5 paid visit to 5 different programs.

While he wants to play at a NCAA Division I program he must weigh his options and see where he will find the best fit academically and athletically. He does not want to “ride the bench” and getting playing time is important to him. We would encourage him to consider all his options, should he try to earn a spot at a well know program or consider a lesser know program and start... these are just a few of the considerations a student-athlete and their family will need to consider. Above all make sure the program has a degree plan that fits the academic pursuits -- all students must choose a major by the end of their sophomore year in college.
