New Rules For NCAA and NAIA
*NEW NCAA RULES:*
If you plan to participate in intercollegiate athletics at an NCAA
Division I or II institution in the fall of 2007 or hereafter, you must
have both the academic and amateurism status certified by the
eligibility center before representing the institution in competition.
When you register with the eligibility center, you will be asked about
benefits and activities that might impact your status as an amateur. The
information you provide about your athletics participation will be
reviewed and determination will be made as to whether your amateurism
status should be certified or a penalty should e assessed before
certification.
If a penalty is assessed, you ill have an opportunity to appeal the
decision.
The following pre-collegiate enrollment activities ill be reviewed:

Contracts with a professional team.

Salary for participating in athletics.

Prize money.
-
Play with professionals.
-
Tryouts, practice or competition with a professional team.

Benefits from an agent or prospective agent.

Agreement to be represented by an agent.

Delayed initial full-time collegiate enrollment to participate in
Organized sports competition.
*Test-Score Requirements*
You must achieve the required score on n SAT or CT test before
your full-time college enrollment. You must do his whether you
are a citizen of the United States or of a foreign country. You must
take the national test given on one or more of the dates shown
below.

*The Writing component of the ACT or SAT will not e used to determine

All SAT and ACT test scores *must *be reported to the eligibility center
*directly *from the *testing agency*.
Test scores *will **not b**e accepted if reported on high school
transcript*.
When registering for he SAT or ACT, input the eligibility center code of
*9999 *or make sure the score is reported directly to the eligibility
center.
