JASON BALLARD

Jason Ballard currently drives the strategic vision and the leadership of a cross functional global team responsible for the development of breakaway alliance programs for the HP Cisco corporate alliance. The alliance is producing over $1.0B of joint partnership revenue. In this role, he has created the NGAA Storage Initiative, the Business Continuity program, gained agreement on the Blade Switch LOI, and is currently responsible for the development and implementation of the joint Managed Services program (http://www.ciscohp.com/). The incremental joint revenue for the programs produced over $300M in FY06.

Prior to this role, he led the formation of a strategic global alliance between Cisco and Compaq, which was announced in February 2001. The first of three initiatives, IP Telephony, accelerated Cisco Systems revenue to over $187M in FY01 and 65% year over year growth. Compaq achieved the Most Improved Alliance in Cisco’s Strategic Alliance operation.

As a ten-year veteran of Cisco, Jason has established a track record of proven results with increasing responsibilities in business development, worldwide channels, and sales operations. As Strategic Partner Manager in worldwide channels, he led a team responsible for Compaq whose focus was on increasing Cisco Systems revenue and partner services through investment in global certification programs. Compaq achieved Global Support Partner and Professional Services Partner status.

Jason came to Cisco through the Netsys Technologies acquisition, a start up software company that provided configuration and performance management of Cisco Systems networks. Prior to Cisco, he held a number of field management positions in BT North America, focusing on providing global communications outsourcing solutions and telecommunication services to multinational corporations.

He holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Business Administration from Wittenberg University and a Graduate Finance Certificate from Edwin L. Cox School of Business at SMU. Married, with three children, he enjoys coaching athletics, golf and skiing.
