I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you, my name is Boyna Bear and I am the lead college planning mentor with The Sport Source®.

Selecting the best college or university to meet your needs may seem like and enormous and intimidating task. The prospect of choosing one school over another may produce intense feelings of anxiety, panic, and even fear of making the wrong decision.

Today, college cost an estimated $122,000 and within five years the cost is expected to exceed $250,000 [Source: U-Promise]. Increasingly, the college identification and admissions process has become more and more competitive and student-athletes need an advantage if the goal is to compete at the next level.

As a former collegiate athlete, professional player and college coach, I can help you develop a personal "plan of action" to find the perfect fit academically and athletically.

Preparation & knowledge are keys to making a confident decision in your college selection process. Your decision should be based on your specific academic and athletic goals. I understand that each student-athlete's goals are different, so I spend a lot of time asking thought provoking questions and helping you understand what is required to make the jump to the collegiate level, both academically and athletically.

My goal is to educate you in the recruiting process and help you find the school that best fits your needs. This will involve creating a resume, a cover letter, role playing, understanding coaches expectations, academic expectations, time management, etc.

Education: B.S. - Psychology
Licenses: USSF and NSCAA Advanced National Diploma
Collegiate Career: Division I programs; The University of Tulsa and University of Arkansas - Little Rock
Coaching Career: Head Women's Soccer Coach at Missouri Valley College
Educational Committees: Board of Advisors for NASCC, NSCAA/adidas Youth Coach of the Year Committee, ISC Council and TSS Educational Advisor
Professional Playing Career: Richardson Rockets, Arkansas A's, Tulsa Roughnecks, of the USISL and Daytona Beach Speedkings and the Huntsville Fire of the EISL.
