The Well-Informed Student-Athlete
The diversity and abundance of opportunities for participation in college athletics programs are many. Each school is unique in three areas: academic programs, social/environment factors and athletic standards.
Essential questions to consider:
Academically - will you have the desire, support and ability to succeed?
Socially - will you be comfortable with your surroundings and able to grow as a person?
If your goal is to play NCAA Division I or II - you will need to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center - www.NCAA.org. Registration should be done at the end of grade 10. Review the specific rules and guidelines for eligibility.
If your goal is to play NAIA, you will need to register with the NAIA prior to graduating from High School - www.NAIA.org. Review the eligibility rules and guidelines required.
